The word of the day is FIRE

The new set of router bits are making for some really clean results...LOVE IT

This is my first attempt at a Fender style neck.  The results are awsome(not bragging, just stating facts)

Ready for sanding and then on to finishing(This one is going to be transparent purple and black)

Every instrument at Lonsert guitars goes through our quality control department after every major step.  This is a picture of our quality control manager, Marley Mae
We are all very worried about the fires here in Texas, and especially those brave men and women fighting them.  Please send some positve thoughts thier way today.  Uncle Eric is among those fighting fires in Bastrop.  When you walk out the door, you can smell the smoke very strongly.  We are all safe and packed for the evacuation order(just in case).  On a positive note, here are some pics of the work that got done on the Tele style guitar over the weekend

a few of my favorite things

Here are some pics of my daughter playing with the Tele style guitar I am building... Not done yet, but she thinks that it rocks(and rock it will).  I am installing two humbuckers in this beast, and a strat style hard tail bridge.  Not your average Tele!  more pics coming soon.  This weekend I will be doing a partial refret on a customer's acoustic(as soon as the fret wire gets here) and installing the truss rod in the neck.  I should also be able to fret the fingerboard and carve the neck on the tele style and carve the body of the SCGS....If I am super industrious then I will get to the neck of this one as well....Sounds like a long weekend of LOTS of sawdust and tons of fun!

Good days and great tunes from Lonsert Luthiery
